Skiing in Belpiano-Malga San Valentino with a wondeful lakeview, 15 lifts, 65 km of pistes!
New for 2018/2019: The Höllental piste and the exciting descent from Belpiano to San Valentino alla Muta
At Resia/Reschen, near the tri-border area where South Tyrol, North Tyrol and the Engadine meet, you’ll find the sun-drenched ski resort of Belpiano/Schöneben, one of South Tyrol’s most popular family ski areas. Belpiano means “beautiful plain” in Italian, and the ski area really lives up to its name. With six lifts, snow coverage well into spring, and nice broad runs, Belpiano offers a wide array of options to families, snowboarders and leisure skiers. And at nearby Resia Lake with his Romanesque church tower there are great opportunities for ice skating, kiting and ice sailing.
The Malga S. Valentino/Haideralm ski area, near the Resia Lake and bordering Austria, is the perfect ski area for connoisseurs. Due to its high altitude, there is always the certainty of snow. The ski area and all its pleasures, can be reached easily and directly from the village centre of St. Valentino/St. Valentin. 20 km of perfectly prepared slopes and four lifts, promise a varied day of skiing in the Vinschgau Valley. Berggasthof Haideralm mountain inn is a popular rest station which offers hikers accommodation as well as traditional cuisine served on a large sun terrace. Malga S. Valentino ski area is also a popular starting point for extreme sports and paragliding, where paragliding is also possible in winter.
